Lots to catch up on, and time for some news I think. Yesterday I had a fabulous day at the Hay Book Festival, presenting a packed out concert for Once Upon A Tune, with a gorgeous quartet, on the stunning “Starlight Stage”!
Emily (Harp), Emily (Flute), Matt (‘Cello) and Jenny (French Horn) – AKA – The Once Upon a Tune Quartet, had previously worked with me in Cheltenham, and it was so good to catch up with them at the Hay Festival. It was a lovely event, despite being erroneously marketed at 0-5 year olds. If the audience was a trifle young, they did exceptionally well, listening to music by Rimsky-Korsakov, Grieg and Rossini.
There are several more concerts lined up for this year, and BIG plans for next year too, which i can’t announce just yet, but as always, confirmed events will be added to my EVENTS listing HERE: https://www.jamesmayhew.co.uk/events. Next up is a return to Hatfield on June 19th for a concert with FULL orchestra – which promises to be a wonderful day! Do join me! Tickets here (two performances!): https://www.uharts.co.uk/whats-on/2022/dhpo-once-upon-a-tune
And for now – here’s a gallery of Hay!
