Nearly ready… for Scotland the Brave

Actually I think I AM being brave… This picture shows part of an elaborate staging I have painted (by hand!!!) for the Edinburgh Book Festival where I am celebrating Katie & The Starry Night on Tuesday August 14th at 10.30.

I wanted to try something a bit different to the usual (and sometimes a bit dull) author event. So I’m trying to – literally – bring art to life. And there will be stories and pictures and probably a hearty big laugh or three along the way! If you want to witness the end result you need to book. Details are on the panel to the right, under News & Events.

The day before I’ll be running a masterclass for adults and telling stories – in the National Gallery. Here’s a painting I’ll be referring to rather a lot, so if you want to find out who these people are and hear their story, come along FOR FREE at either 2pm or 3pm, National Gallery of Scotland, Monday 13th August!

See you there!

Wish I could be there, James. I’m sure it’s going to be a resounding success. And fun! Envy the ticket holders. Grrr!
