Actually I think I AM being brave… This picture shows part of an elaborate staging I have painted (by hand!!!) for the Edinburgh Book Festival where I am celebrating Katie & The Starry Night on Tuesday August 14th at 10.30.
I wanted to try something a bit different to the usual (and sometimes a bit dull) author event. So I’m trying to – literally – bring art to life. And there will be stories and pictures and probably a hearty big laugh or three along the way! If you want to witness the end result you need to book. The day before I’ll be running a masterclass for adults and telling stories – in the National Gallery. Here’s a painting I’ll be referring to rather a lot, so if you want to find out who these people are and hear their story, come along FOR FREE at either 2pm or 3pm, National Gallery of Scotland, Monday 13th August!
