Katie and the Mona Lisa live!

At last I have some news of the Planet Theatre stage production of Katie and the Mona Lisa, now just four weeks away.

The plans have undergone many changes over the last few months but things seem to now be coming together. Regrettably my various commitments mean I am unable to be as fully part of the design process as I had expected; Julie Godfrey, an established set designer, has been entrusted with the role of bringing my book to the stage, and I look forward to seeing what she come up with!

The show will have it’s premiere at the Ashcroft Theatre in Croydon on April 3rd. The last performance is April 6th. It is hoped that the show will then be developed further as a touring production.

There is now a website with all the information you could wish for about the show, the book and Mona Lisa herself… and details on how to book – a perfect Easter holiday treat, and a great introduction to the magical storytelling possibilities of art…
