Jackie Morris, illustrator, author, artist, storyteller… however she is described it doesn’t do her creativity and brilliance justice. I’m so lucky to have collaborated on a couple of books. Hopefully there might be more. She’s also a wonderful and supportive friend, always at the end of the phone when things go wrong.
She has legions of fans and is very much loved. And below is a example of why: a piece she has written about an off-shoot from our book “Starlight Sailor”. In the book – just reissued by Barefoot – she has illustrated my story about a boy in a boat-of-dreams. It was Jackie’s idea to make the boat a PAPER boat. And now all the world are making and sharing paper boats, it seems.
That’s the Jackie Morris magic. She has a vision. She has a passion. And she makes it happen!
