Heroes and Villains – a new family concert

I am absolutely thrilled to announce the new programme for the almost legendary annual family concert in Hatfield this year. This is the 8th concert presented at the Weston Auditorium, with my dear friends, the superb de Havilland Philharmonic and conductor Robin Browning. And this year it’s going to be an absolute corker!

The very generous programme features wonderful, stirring and familiar music, about gun-toting cowboys, troll-fighting troublemakers and cunning crossbow capers too. It’s wonderful stuff for all children, plenty to keep the boys happy especially, and ending with probably the most famous tune ever written…

Here’s the programme:

Copland: Billy The Kid
Grieg: Peer Gynt (extracts)
Rossini: William Tell (overture)

I defy anyone to resist tapping their toes during the finale of the William Tell overture!

So… come along and hear the original stories that inspired these great composers, and watch as I paint scenes from the stories LIVE ON STAGE!

It really is the perfect way to introduce children to live classical music, performed by a full symphony orchestra!

Ticket prices have been frozen from last year, and a family ticket has been introduced to help you save money! For hardly any more than the cost of a trip to the cinema you can see LIVE art and hear a LIVE orchestra!

Adults: £12
Children: £8
Family Ticket (2 adults, 2 children): £36

Due overwhelming demand, there will be TWO performances, each with separate booking links:
