ONCE UPON A TUNE – with RSNO

I’m so excited to announce a new partnership with the incredible Royal Scottish National Orchestra. This Spring (February to March) I’ll be touring Scotland to present a series of concerts inspired by my Yoto-Carnegie nominated book “Once Upon A Tune”. I’ll be featuring a selection of stories from the book, and some NEW stories too!

These concerts are FREE for Scottish schools, and come with outstanding learning resources, filmed content etc – a truly wonderful opportunity for schools in Scotland to discover the mythology behind some incredible music, and learn a little about climate change and associated symbolism in folk-lore.

James Mayhew

James is the creator of the much-loved Katie and Ella Bella Ballerina series and has written or illustrated many other books, including Koshka’s Tales, Mouse & Mole (by Joyce Dunbar) and Gaspard the Fox (by Zeb Soanes). Alongside his work in publishing, James performs live on stage during concerts for children, combining live classical music, storytelling and art.
