Children’s Classical Concert – news and reviews

While Katie has been basking in the the glory of her 21st anniversary celebrations in Paris and at the National Galleries this year, her little friend Ella Bella has been having her own fun. On Sunday 7th November, two performances of “Stories from the Ballet” took place in Hatfield, both really well attended, and you can read a lovely review on a Cambridge Art School student blog. James Mayhew presents Ella Bella Ballerina

But today it’s back to Katie as I am going to London to meet two people at the National Gallery. One is Caroline Marcus who is co-authoring a new “Katie Trail” with me, using Katie and five pictures from the National Gallery, due to be available in February.

The other person is… a TOP SECRET for now but is going to lead to something incredibly exciting. Watch this space!!!

James is the creator of the much-loved Katie and Ella Bella Ballerina series and has written or illustrated many other books, including Koshka’s Tales, Mouse & Mole (by Joyce Dunbar) and Gaspard the Fox (by Zeb Soanes). Alongside his work in publishing, James performs live on stage during concerts for children, combining live classical music, storytelling and art.
