Concert Review

As some of you know, I am a visiting lecturer on the MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge Art School (Anglia Ruskin University), and I was delighted that five students, who I don’t yet teach but hope to teach next Academic year, attended the first of the two concerts in Hatfield.

One student, Rosemary, has written a review on their student blog which I wanted to share. It’s such a lovely review and I feel really overwhelmed by such kind words. It’s also lovely to get a thorough response on how the whole thing “works”, because of course I never see a performance and they are not filmed. So I’m working in the dark a little bit. But this write-up has made me think – I want to do more! I really do believe SO PASSIONATELY in getting children excited about art and stories and music. It’s pretty hard to get off the ground from a financial point of view. But my fingers are firmly crossed for the future!
