Time has suddenly speeded up. The first performance of Noye’s Fludde is in exactly 4 weeks, on July 3rd. Many meetings and discussions have recently focussed the vision for both myself as designer and Edward Derbyshire as director.
But in the meantime I am designer and maker combined as I paint banners and cut out animals in a frenzy of inks and emulsion paint.
We have such plans, such visions for these performances. I’m almost too busy to get excited… but I shall allow myself a little bit of happy anticipation. Seated tickets are selling very fast now, but standing tickets offer almost more opportunities – to see and to be part of this collaborative, community pageant! Details on how to book are on the right of this blog, and on the website:

Meanwhile some pictures to whet the appetite. I have chosen to add sea creatures during the storm sequence, even though they are not listed in the libretto. The images are all based on medieval illuminations and ancient maps. Look out for the Manta Ray on our washing line!
