First of all, a BIG thank you to everyone who entered the Katie Art Competition. I’ve had a wonderful time sifting through the beautiful entries. In the end it was so hard to choose one winner. So there is a first prize, but also THREE runners up that deserve a prize too.
Here goes… The FIRST PRIZE goes to Nayana in India, for her brilliant and hilarious interpretation of the lady in Seurat’s picture of La Grande Jatte, complete with large bustle. I love the pointillist technique, and this picture really made me smile…
And here are the runners up, all of whom will get a prize:
Elleanore, who was inspired by a picture of Roses by Patrick Cauldfield:
Monet, as seen by Renoir, through the eyes of Nawar…
and lastly, Daisy’s dramatic vision of Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
My thanks and congratulations to you all, and HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY everyone!
