The knight returns!

The Hertford Symphony Orchestra are about to premiere a new work for children: The Knight Who Took All Day. Based on an old out of print picture-book, it’s written for orchestra, narrater and… illustrator! Bernard Hughes is the brilliant young composer, and I am so incredibly honoured to see my book adapted into this wonderful composition. It’s full of great tunes and exciting sounds and I think the concert will be fabulous. I will of course report back on the outcome!

But what about the book? It’s been unavailable for years…. but plucky Welsh publisher Graffeg and I have forged a new working relationship, and we have high hopes for collaborations. And our first will be a whole new edition of The Knight Who Took All Day.

It will be published in August, but you can place ADVANCE orders for SIGNED copies of this gorgeous new HARDBACK edition using the form below!

The concerts (there are two performances) are on Sunday 29th January at Hertford Theatre. Both are pretty much sold out, but there may be returns – you can contact the theatre here: http://www.hertfordtheatre.com/events/detail/1506/hso-the-knight-who-took-all-day

Here’s the form for the book – you can order online, by post (by printing this form off) or by phone:
